- Designed specifically for use with R-1234ze as the primary* refrigerant
- Greater application support and a lower total cost of ownership
- Advanced innovations, like a variable-speed drive, falling-film evaporator and OptiView™ Control Center
Benefits:
- Ultra low gwp optimized
- The re-engineered york® yk chiller has been designed specifically for use with r-1234ze as the primary* refrigerant, without any increase in footprint.
- Lowest total cost of ownership
- Designed to be cost-effective across your entire bottom line, the re-engineered york@ yk chiller delivers lower installation, operating and maintenance costs over the life of the chiller.
- Greater application support
- The yk platform is versatile by design, enabling customers to leverage a wide array of components that help balance project needs with cost savings.
- Intuitive control
- Featuring a state-of-the-art, optiview control panel, it’s easier than ever to manage chiller operations with improved efficiency, reduced maintenance and greater security.
Features:
- Designed with sustainability in mind, the re-engineered YK chiller has been optimized specially for use with ultra-low GWP refrigerant R-1234ze
- State-of-the-art OptiView™ Control Panel optimizes chiller performance by precisely controlling the leaving chilled liquid temperature and motor current
- Quick Start feature restarts the chiller in as few as 45 seconds and reaches the specified chilled-water temperature faster than other centrifugal chillers
- Optional OptiSound™ Control works alongside standard VSD technology to minimize gas-flow disruptions that cause noise
- ISASecure® certified YORK® Chiller Access Manager provides secure access to chiller controls to help mitigate the risk of unauthorized access and security breaches
- Extraordinary flexibility allows the YK chiller to be ordered with a variety of options, including heat exchangers, gears and open-drive motors minimizing the need to order a larger size chiller package than might be necessary
- Compared to chillers that can only use a minimum 75°F (24°C) ECWT, a YK chiller can operate with ECWT as low as 55°F (13°C), reducing instantaneous energy consumption by as much as 50%
- Open-drive design and infinite life bearings help ensure maintenance needs on the YK chiller are minimized
