This RS PRO soft starter is used to protect your motor when it starts and stops. It’s designed to reduce torque, load and electrical surges when a motor kick-starts, improving the motor’s lifespan.
The compact soft starter has a snatch-free module to minimize the problems that starting shocks can cause. Its controlled-start, torque-reducing belt means torque is kept low when your motor kicks in. A lower torque level also limits the stress on your transmission components. You’ll find this product has phase control, which increases your voltage over a set time to protect the motor from overload.
Made for use on single-phase motor types, this soft starter is well-suited to industrial automation processes to improve motor performance and efficiency. It has a DIN (Deutsches Institut für Normung, or the German Institute for Standardisation) rail mount type.
