Description

Gardner Denver’s HeliFlow 514 Positive Displacement Blowers

The HeliFlow series of positive displacement blowers features helical tri-lobe rotors, which enhance the blower’s ability to withstand overhung loads and reduce the risk of buildup from ingested materials. These blowers are known for their low noise operation and high performance efficiency.

Technical Specs:

  • Max pressure: 15  psi
  • Max vacuum: 16–17  in Hg
  • Max speed: 900–4,500  RPM
  • Airflow: up to 1,560  CFM.
  • Connections: 6″ Fllange
  • Lubrication:
    • drive end: splash‑oil
    • gear end:  splash‑oil
  • Weight: 667 lb (≈ 303 kg)

Features:

  • Helical tri-lobe rotors (solid ductile iron), eliminating buildup and vibration—dynamically balanced to ISO Grade 6.3
  • Triangular tuned ports and single-piece finned cylinder—reduce pulsation/noise and improve heat dissipation and structural integrity
  • Oversized spherical roller bearings and large-diameter shafts—increase overhung load capacity (up to 8,100 in-lb for model 514)
  • Helical alloy timing gears with friction shrink fit lock—ensure smooth, quiet, and precise operation
  • Advanced piston-ring air and oil seals for reliable, leak-free performance
  • Dual splash lubrication system—extends maintenance intervals and enhances durability Mechanical seal option available for gas applications
  • ISO 9001 manufacturing, individually tested at flexible machining facilities .

Benefit:

  • Quieter Operation
    • Helical rotors and tuned ports reduce pulsation and noise by 4–7 dBA compared to straight-lobe blowers
  • Unmatched Reliability
    • Solid rotor design avoids imbalance from material accumulation, improving longevity.
    • Large shafts and bearings support heavy overhung loads.
  • Extended Life & Reduced Maintenance
    • Dual splash lubrication and robust seals decrease wear and extend service intervals
  • Improved Efficiency & Cooling
    • Finned housing aids heat dissipation; high pressure, vacuum tolerance, and high-temp handling set it apart .
  • Protects Downstream Systems
    • Lower pulsations preserve valves, instruments, and connected systems
  • Easy Serviceability
    • Gear-lock rings allow easy gear removal; mechanical seals are user-friendly.
